> Société à responsabilité limitée (Anpartsselskab - ApS). Ce type de d’entité juridique peut être établi par un ou plusieurs associés, sans aucune restriction sur la nationalité ou leur statut de résidence. Aussi, il n'est pas nécessaire que le directeur soit citoyen danois. Une société privée à responsabilité limitée nécessite un capital social minimum de 125.000 DKK (couronnes danoises, env. 17.000 EUR). Les partenaires contribuent au capital de la société avec des parts sociales ayant une valeur nominale. Ce ne sont pas négociables et ne peuvent pas être transférés. Les associés sont responsables des dettes de l'entreprise à la limite de la contribution individuelle.

> Société publique à responsabilité limitée (Aktieselskab - A/S). Cette société peut être établie par un ou plusieurs associes, qui n’auront pas la responsabilité des dettes de l’entreprise. Le capital social minimum est de 500.000 DKK (approx. 68.000 euros) et les actions peuvent être vendues au public.

> Succursale, filiale ou  bureau de représentation– Toute société étrangère a le droit d’établir des succursales en Danemark. Celles-ci peuvent avoir les statuts d’entite distincte de la société mère (des entreprises enregistrées en Danemark ayant la société mère comme actionnaire unique) ou extensions de la société mère.
