Si el director de la compañía es residente de Alemania, las autoridades fiscales en general requieren una prueba de su presencia periódica en el país.

Si el director de la sociedad es un ciudadano de un país fuera de la Unión Europea, este tendrá que obtener un permiso de trabajo.

> Aktiengesellschaft (AG - sociedad anónima) Este tipo de empresa puede tener un asociado unico, necesita un director, un consejo de administración y domicilio social. El capital social mínimo es de 50.000 euros.

> Sucursal, filial o representancia - Cualquier empresa extranjera tiene derecho a establecer sucursales en Alemenia. Estas pueden tener condición de entidad separada de la empresa matriz (empresas registradas en Alemania en las cuales la empresa matriz es el accionista único) o extensiones de la empresa matriz.
